I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a really great 1st leg of our 2006 tour for Peculiar. After all the years of doing this, it really makes me feel good to have so many people coming to our shows. Well, I think we are just getting warmed up so its only gonna get better. I also wanted to remind people who haven't noticed that there is a video on Peculiar. Its a video for Propaganda done by Phil Virus out of Berlin. Anybody with a relatively recent personal computer can check it out.
As for the pogues, yes we are opening on the 16th and 18th of march. But yes, the shows have been sold out for 2 months. Finally, Im doing 2 shows next weekend with a very cool lineup of Rocksteady 7. Its basically the band I took to Europe in late 2004. Its a lineup that's never played in the states. So if you get a chance, check those shows out.
Wotcher All, This is my first blog entry so I imagine the pent up anticipation has been excruciating. I hope the wait was worth it. But I digress. The crux of this entry is to thank all the great fans who came out to support us on this last tour of Cananda and the East coast. Highlights range from the Cleveland, Boston, Montreal, and Chicago shows, to the hilarity of Keep it Simple in Quebec City (I wasn't sure the band was gonna make it through that one it was so funny), relocating Flashlight Brown's merchandise in Providence (we put it backstage Thats not stealing!), the pre show in Toronto (Naked tatooed Germans anyone?), and culminating in two killer shows at CBGB's. I'd also like thank everyone for their kind words about "Peculiar" and give a shout out to King Django and the folks at Ernesto's for helping us out with that one. See you all soon as I believe we are playing at least one gig within 150 miles of each one of our fans in the next few months. If not, please email Steve Borden a map, with your house clealy indicated, and he will make sure we play around there soon!
i heard we got played on little steven's underground garage show last night (sun.mar 12)...is this true?
i wanna thank all the folks for coming out on this first push for the peculiar record. Boston,Toronto, Montreal, the CBGB shows in ny,and so many other nights... this was an incredible time and i wanna let everybody know how much we appreciate the folks at the gigs. playing for such good folks makes us play so much better,i'm thankful for the good vibes...vic
