Hi everyone! Nice to be getting back on the road. We are going to be hitting a bunch of places in the US and Canada first. New england, the southeast, pacific notrhwest, new jersey, and the midwest.

Plus we just went into the studio and have been working towards a new series of releases that should start coming out around june.

Also, the slackers complete lyrics book is coming together and should be out in the next months.

Thanks for the love.

SANDY, THE QUESTION, BRAZIL, and HOLIDAYS...

By dave

First off, we just want to say we hope that everyone weathered the storm as well as they could. Our heart goes out to everyone who has sufferred. The Slackers managed to get through the storm ok, but many people are not. Please donate to the Red Cross to help with disaster relief. http://www.redcross.org/hurricane-sandy

Right before Sandy showed up, we were just annoucing that we are reissuing THE QUESTION on VINYL in partnership with Whatevski/Big Tunes. You can pre-order this at http://bigtun.es/projects/index/1/band Its been out of print for 12 years. We will see what the demand is and then we will know how many copies we can press up.

In other news, we have made it to Brazil and started our tour there. We will be all over the country from Natal in the northeast to Porto Alegre in the south....plus lots of gigs in the Sao Paolo area.

After Brazil, we will be playing a quick encore weekend in Florida, Nov 30 in MIAMI and Dec 2 in ST PETERSBURG. These will be our last shows in Florida for a while so so don't miss.

Then we will spend the rest of December touring the east coast. We have shows in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Long Island, Rhode Island, and finish up the year in BROOKLYN at the Bell house! See you out there!

Fall Touring! Vinyl Reissues! plus Brooklyn Rocksteady Comp coming soon!

By dave

Hi everybody,
How are you doing? First off, I just want to say thanks to everyone who came out to our summer boat shows and to the European Slackers' Strike Back tour. We had a lot of fun playing for you guys this summer.

Coming up this fall, we are trying to get caught up with a lot of American touring. We are playing a quick weekend in the midwest and then going down south to Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.

We also want to thank everyone who supported the Asbestos Records Kickstarter for the vinyl of International War Criminal (2004 original release). This will be the first time that those recordings will be released on Vinyl. We should have some with us on tour in the next month or so.

You heard it here first. But there should be a vinyl re-issue of the Question out by end of the year too! This will be coming out on Whatevski records! (Yes, the same www.whatevski.org who puts out lots of Slackers' downloads.)

Also coming out soon is the 'Brooklyn Rocksteady' compilation which will feature the Slackers' playing a version of the reggae classic, 'The Wicked Must Survive.' This will available in various formats on www.whatevski.org as well.

And yes, I know we have been doing lots of covers recently, but if you have come to one of our shows recently, you might have heard one of the new original songs we have been working on. We currently have 3 of them in rotation in the set list and there should be more to come over the next few months.

Another upcoming project that I was just reading the rough draft of, is a Slackers lyrics book. This book is going to be available in paperback, hard cover, and electronic formats.

Finally, yes, we have been getting your emails from the places we have been missing on tour. We will be trying to get out to the southeast, midwest, pacific northwest, and Canada in the first half of 2013. Keep your eyes out for upcoming dates.

take care,
Dave

SUMMER WITH THE SLACKERS!

By dave

Hey everybody,

so its getting warm outside and that means its time for the Slackers to play boat shows and festivals!

We start out with a California weekend, Santa Barbara, the Ink N Iron Festival, and the San Diego.

Then its time for the Slackers annual NYC booze cruise....but this year its 2 nights!!! June 22 and June 23. Go to www.rocksoff.com and get your tix in advance. The boat is a little smaller than in previous years so it will fill up quickly!

Then coming up in July we have our Boston Booze Cruise plus a show in Washington DC.

We finish out the summer playing several festivals in UK (plus Slovenia & Belgium) as well as club dates in UK, Ireland, Austria, Germany, and France.

If you look further down the line you will see we have a bunch of American dates planned for September/October.

We have begun working on a whole new batch of tunes, some of which we have started playing out at shows.

We have a new song, a cover of 'the Wicked Must Survive' coming out on the forthcoming 'Brooklyn Rocksteady' compilation.

We will be releasing a new USB this year, a follow up to 'before there was hellcat' USB 1991-1996. It will cover 1996-2000, the period of Red Light the Question, and Live At Ernesto's. It will include all 5 hrs of music from the 2 days at Ernesto's that we made the original recordings from.

Speaking of the Question, there is a rumor that the long out of print vinyl of the Question might finally see the light of day!

Well, let's hope it comes to pass, and in the meantime, see you guys out there!
