So far this year is shaping up with a bountiful crop of ideas for projects in 2007. Ideas we have been floating about include: A Book of Lyrics replete with original notes, historic photos, and the actual words to What Went Wrong. A DVD possibly even 2, a live show and (Hopefully!?!) a documentary! A new Sic n' Mad CD. Plus new Slackers tracks to download coming soon. We have lots of new songs and new ideas for projects include more live tracks, some acoustic tracks, re-arrangements of classic Slacker tunes, and a cover project that will range from Cash to Clash. I wouldn't expect it all to soon but keep your fingers crossed and keep checking this site and our MySpace!!!!Cheers Marcus

I would love for the Slackers to add me to their big 2007!
Can't wait for the DVD and book...
Still, I am trying to get in touch with you to discuss the option of booking a show. Is this possible?
Please shoot back when you have a chance.

Lyrics book!
I'd really love it if you put the guitar chords and maybe the strum pattern too the songs over the lyrics so I could play along. I've been playing guitar for about 4 months and I've learned "yes It's True" and I’d like to play lots more.
Thanks,
Tim
sounds awesome...
some of the old sic n' mad tunes are a real trip....I am interested in hearing how vic's years with his solo project have yielded more complex guitar lines...any chance of ever getting the solo stuff out there as an anthology, vic? I love the blues ditties...
and If I can beg...NEW SLACKERS (NON LIVE) ALBUM!?!?!
and oh yeah...come to western NY PLEASE. King Django did and seemed to have a blast.
Awesome
I can't wait for all this stuff to come out. Sheer awesomeness.
Could someone tell me what Sic n' Mad is?
sic'n'mad
sic'n'mad are (mostly) punk rock band.
they released an album on stubborn records in 1997. titled: "23 Blues Destruction of Utopia, Pt. 2".
but i think that recordings predate slackers, i'm not sure.
if i remember corectly the line up includes vic, marcus, ara and a guy called happy is a singer.
there are three tracks from the album on the compilation of slack related stuff "these are special potatoe", and the liner notes state that band was formed just to impress a girl or something like that.
Alright, thanks for the
Alright, thanks for the information :).
The book of lyrics sounds
The book of lyrics sounds amazing, id love to know the stories behind the songs. I think it was redlight that had a little tidbit on every song in the liner notes and that was really cool to read.
and of course the dvd/documentry would be amazing....

Well this is all very, very good news. Especially looking forward to the DVDEEZ.
Glacier Dub
Is there any chance of this song getting released? The only version I have heard is a really bad quality one.
Re: Glacier Dub
Yeah, I'd love to hear a quality version of this too.

re:re:glacier dub
I think its fine the way it is. Cant help but love Django's "clipping" towards the end. Some things are just meant to be imperfect...
glacier dub...the untold story!
its a bad ripoff of some 70's dub, with worse lyrics over it...sure i havent listened to it in years... it didnt make the cut for the first record, and so it was forever left behind...i think the reason its on the demo is because it may have been the first time we played reggae that sounded ok ...it was live off the board? or a boombox at the cooler...vic
That sounds absolutely
That sounds absolutely slacktastic! Especially a lyrics book. I like it.
