The Slackers in Austin...Round TWOi should begin by congradulating the city of austin texas on being one hell of a town. last year 3 of us made the 4 hour drive and 2 hour plane ride down from dodge city kansas to induldge on the two day show at the flamingo cantina. we traveled to nyc to see the 2 day show at cbgb's in march, but upon seeing that the slackers were pulling the 2 day show in austin again our mind was instantly made up. i can honestly say that even though the slackers were in their hometown of new york, that the crowd and atmostphere in austin were second to none. we have a long 2 months of waitin until we step off of the plane in to one of the most intense music cities i've ever encountered. here we come austin. we look forward to an amazing weekend.......again -rk-

I second that! When my friend was a student at UT, i'd fly down and we would go see the slackers at the flamingo as well. The whole aura of the slackers at the flamingo is intense. The aroma of beer, sweat, and herb is burned into my memory. That is something everyone should experience at least once, or twice (2 nights) in thier lives. It really is a beautiful thing.
